We saw an article about Ryan and Wyoming Wings and Waters in Shooting Sportsman magazine and booked a trip on short notice. We spent two days bird hunting and one day fishing. We can’t wait to book another trip. The terrain can be rocky, steep, and a little tricky to navigate but this is where the wild birds are found. Definitely had to work for it. On day one we easily saw hundreds of Chukar and did limit out before noon. Lunch – a gourmet Chukar chowder - was served in the field and later Ryan gave us a tour of his part of Wyoming. The second day was spent hunting Hungarian partridge with a number of coveys found. Finding grizzly bear tracks just added to the excitement of hunting in a wild place. The quality of the birddog work by Lady and Doug, the English Setters, was outstanding. These dogs (and all of the others) are rockstars. Dogs pointed a covey of sage grouse as well but these were out of season. The third day was spent fly fishing with guide Alec for trout from a drift raft on the Shoshone River where brown, cutthroat, and a brook trout were caught. We could not have possibly asked for a better three days in the outdoors and Ryan’s guiding and company was superb. Highly recommended - just do it before you get too old.

Upland hunting is an art and a skill no guarantees ever but hard work determination and a great time will be had by all highly recommend

Did a late season cast and blast with Ryan since it looked like the weather was going to be good. First off, the stew he makes is to die for. Just the float and the stew would’ve made the trip. Caught some quality fish and it was a beautiful float. The next day we chased chukars and holy smoke! The views were incredible and despite it being late season, Ryan had no problem getting us on the birds. If only my shooting was up to par. If anyone is wondering who to go through, this is your premier option for a great guide who has so much knowledge. Plus ya know his dogs are really great too.

I had an excellent couple of days fishing with Ryan. First day we floated the Bighorn and had good action all day, landing numerous good fish along with a few really good ones I missed. I wanted to see something different and really like creek fishing, so Ryan took me up to the Bighorn National forest. Again we caught fish all day and he went out of his way to ensure I saw the amazing sights and experienced different waters. He also made Chucker stew, for lunch one day, OMG!!! It was excellent!! Ryan is an excellent guide and overall good person to spend a couple days with.

Ryan was a superb guide. I took my teen son on a full day float and Rob was a fantastic instructor as well, teaching my son new skills. Friendly, professional, patient and a great angler, Rob is top-notch. He will be my guide year after year, for sure!
